The Root
What is kava
Non-habit-forming and known for its reverse tolerance. (Builds effectiveness over time)
Kava is a root from the South Pacific, shared for centuries as an evening drink passed around a bowl until the room slows down. Rooted uses noble kava, the variety with the longest record of traditional use. Pressed into a pouch, it works through the gum instead of the stomach, so you feel it in minutes.

Potency
What 30% potency means
Kavalactones are the naturally occurring compounds in the kava root that are responsible for kava's effects.
Our extract is an expertly blended 30% potency extract that provides 30 mg of kavalactones in every 100 mg of kava extract.
100 mg kava extract × 30% potency = 30 mg kavalactones

From Root To Pouch
How kava gets in the tin
Every pouch starts as a root in the South Pacific. Here is the path it takes.
Grown
Noble kava is grown for years in the South Pacific before the roots are ready to harvest.
Harvested
The roots are dug by hand, washed, and set out to dry.
Milled
Dried root is ground into a fine powder, the same starting point as the traditional drink.
Blended
We pair the kava with the actives for each formula, with every dose printed on the tin.
Pressed
The blend is pressed into a slim pouch, sealed, and packed 15 to a tin in the USA.
Same root the islands have shared for centuries. None of the preparation.

Myths, cleared up
Kava gets confused with a lot of things it is not. Here is the short version.
×Kava is the same as kratom.
The truth: They are unrelated plants from different parts of the world. Kava is a root from the South Pacific. Rooted uses noble kava root only, and there is no kratom in any Rooted product.
×Pouches always mean nicotine.
The truth: A pouch is a format, not an ingredient. Rooted pouches contain zero nicotine and zero tobacco.
×All kava is the same.
The truth: Kava comes in many varieties. Noble kava is the one with the longest record of traditional everyday use, and it is the only kind we use.
×You have to drink it from a bowl.
The truth: Traditionally yes, and that ritual is worth knowing. A pouch keeps the ritual and skips the mixing, the mud, and the bitter cup.
×It takes forever to notice.
The truth: A pouch works where it sits, through the gum and cheek, so most people feel the signature tingle within a few minutes.
×Kava is only for island ceremonies.
The truth: Kava has been shared socially for generations. Rooted makes it easy to bring anywhere.
